Below you will see the types of exams allowed for a specific permit. Exam codes and descriptions are provided for you as another Public/Industry Notice. This information is important in understanding which functions and operations are allowed for each class of permit. Use this list to determine which examinations your employees should take. CLASS 1 -------Exam Codes 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, or 21
CLASS 2 -------Exam Codes 03, 06, or 09
CLASS 3 -------Exam Codes 06, or 09
CLASS 4 -------Exam Codes 04, 05, 06, 09, or 10
CLASS 5 -------Exam Codes 06, 07, or 09
CLASS 6 -------Exam Codes 02
CLASS 6-X- ---Exam Codes----No Exams Required of this Class Permit
CLASS 7 -------Exam Codes 04, 05, 06, 09, or 10
CLASS 7 E ----Exam Codes 04, 05, 06, 09, or 10
CLASS 8 -------Exam Codes 02, 04, 05, 06, 08, 09, 10, 17, 18, or 21
CLASS 9 -------Exam Codes 06, 09, or 17
NOTE : One or more exam codes can be given for a particular Class LPG permit, with the exception of Class 6, but the exam code(s) must cover all the specific duties for the holder of the card.

CLASS A-2 -------Exam Codes 11
CLASS A-3 -------Exam Codes 11, or 12
CLASS A-3X -----Exam Codes –No Exams Required of this Class Permit

CLASS A-4E -----Exam Codes 11, 13, or 14
NOTE : One or more exam codes can be given for a particular Class NH3 permit, with the exception of Class A-2, but the exam code(s) must cover all the specific duties for the holder of the card.
